The perfect climatic conditions in the southeastern Chinese province of Zhejiang allow for the creation of this famous specialty among green teas. This classic, also known as Dragon Well Tea, has a long, flat leaf. Like most green teas, the leaves are roasted soon after harvest. This quickly stops the oxidation process that gives the tea its beautiful green colour. The tea is rich in vitamin C, amino acids and teins. Lung Ching has the title of imperial tea. According to legend, the grandson of the then Emperor Hu Gong Temple, where he found 18 tea trees. He liked the tea so much that he granted these bushes imperial status. These tea trees still produce tea today and 1 gram of tea from these tea trees is worth more than gold.
