Taste the deliciously sweet Djimmah.
More information about the coffee in the description below. More
Ethiopia is considered to be the birthplace of coffee. There are speculations that the word coffee is derived from the Ethiopian province of Kaffa. Djimmah coffee is grown in the Illubabor and Kaffa regions at altitudes between 1300 and 1800 metres above sea level.
The fertile hills have given rise to a coffee that offers an intense sweetness with wine-like notes. It has a rich, deeply aromatic body and a complex, earthy finish.
From our barista's current cupping
We all have Ethiopian coffee pegged as sour and fruity. However, Djimmah is the exception that proves the rule. Here we find earthy notes of peanuts, cocoa bitterness and a subtle caramel sweetness. A slight acidity is brought by the taste of grapefruit.
I recommend it to anyone who wants to try a coffee from Africa, but doesn't like strong acidic coffees.
