Tips to keep your tamper looking like new:
- Constant humidity - the ideal humidity is 35-45%, higher humidity causes the wood to "swell" and can even distort the surface, while lower humidity causes the wood to dry out and cracks can appear
- Do not store the tamper near a radiator or other objects that give off heat - this dries out the wood
- Do not expose the tamper to direct sunlight - in addition to colour fading, the wood may dry out and crack
- Gentle cleaning - do not wash the tamper in the dishwasher, just wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it with a paper towel. Do not use any cleaning chemicals - you may disturb the texture of the wood
