Yirgacheffe is the true queen of coffees from Ethiopia, which is considered the true mother of coffee. This exceptional coffee is grown in the southwestern hills of Ethiopia in the Yirgacheffe region.
This coffee was developed as part of the UN-ITC and List + Beisler Farming Accelerator project (United Nations International Trade Centre's Alliances for Action Program and List + Beisler's Farming Accelerator project), which aims to teach new and more environmentally friendly practices to local farmers. More than 5,000 small-scale farmers are participating in the project, learning about composting, tree pruning, irrigation, as well as current climate issues and strategies to address them.
